With over two decades of experience in government affairs and advocacy, she is a distinguished executive known for her strategic leadership and impactful contributions across diverse sectors. Her career spans legislative advocacy, strategic relationship management, and regulatory policy within both public and private domains. Melissa excels in working across political aisles to foster collaborative relationships to drive significant policy reforms. Her role involves providing strategic counsel and guiding clients through the complexities of policy development, implementation and regulatory challenges leveraging her extensive expertise at both the state and local level.
Melissa served in various legislative roles for both the Hickenlooper and Polis Administrations including passing a comprehensive transportation/multi-modal funding package. She has served on both statewide and local chamber boards and commissions including the Colorado Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and the Legislative Policy Council for the Denver Metro Chamber. Melissa continues to serve on the board of both the Foodbank of the Rockies and Imagination Library-Colorado and has successfully secured funding for both organizations through the state of Colorado’s budgeting process as well as secured both federal and local grants.
During her time at HCA Healthcare/HealthONE, her leadership in policy analysis and grassroots organizing played a crucial role in shaping effective healthcare legislation.
